How We Met
First Comes Fishing, then Comes Marriage
Ben and Bria were introduced in January 2020 by Bria's roommate Lauren. Ben often stopped by Lauren and Bria's apartment for Lauren's food, trips to the grocery store, or a ride to the occasional hockey game. It was during that time that they became good friends. It wasn't until May of 2021 that something changed, and Ben asked Bria out on a fishing date. Or ... he thought he did. Bria did not consider their fishing trip a date and infamously ended the night by giving Ben a book on singleness. Ben took the rejection like a pro and he took the book (he still recommends it to this day - it's a good book). As luck would have it, by the time he gave it back to Bria, she had fallen for him too. It wasn't long after that they began dating. Last May, Ben proposed to Bria, and she said yes.
