Ben and Amy first met in 2003 in a 6th grade elective class. They quickly became friends; it was easy as they were the same height, which made making eye contact efficient. Almost every year proceeding that, they had at least one class together throughout middle and high school where their friendship continued to blossom and flourish. Growing their friendship over the years, it was inevitable for small crushes to develop. Although they both went their separate paths romantically, Ben and Amy always remained close friends. When venturing off to Charlotte for university in 2010, Ben and Amy kept in touch while independently experiencing the many adventures college has to offer. The two always found ways to be near one another, with making mutual friends, going to the same parties or finding reasons to study at the library together. It wasn't until 2013 at the end of junior year of college when Ben made his first move and professed his fondness for Amy where she quickly returned her affections for Ben. It was easy falling in love with your best friend.

Ben took Amy on a romantic getaway to his first overseas destination. Planning out an amazing visit to Athens and Santorini, they visited historic landmarks, ate local favorites and curated memories they will infinitely share. In a dimly lit archway covered in greenery and connecting a villa hotel with its magnificent restaurant, Ben proposed to Amy in the small village of Oia, Greece.
