Ben and I were set up on a blind date on May 20, 2017 in Southern Pines, NC. My stepfather, Greg Worley, worked with Ben at Ft. Bragg and asked if Ben would like to meet me while I was in town visiting for the weekend. Ben and I went to a wine tasting in Pinehurst, NC and immediately hit it off. We began dating long distance until Ben moved to Clarksville, TN in 2018. The rest, as they say, is history!
Ben and I got engaged on February 22, 2019. Ben wanted to propose at a place in Nashville that we could always come back and visit, so he chose Union Station Hotel. Ben told me that we would be meeting some friends at the hotel and then going to dinner. When we arrived, he said our friends were running late so we should look around the hotel. A hotel staff member (who Ben had already spoken to earlier that day to arrange everything) came up to us and handed us a self-guided touring map of the historic hotel. While we were on the upstairs balcony overlooking the lobby, the same staff member asked if we would like our picture taken. As she took our picture, Ben dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him. I cried and instantly said yes. We are so excited about this next chapter and can't wait to start our lives together!
