Things To Do

Beautiful out and back trail leading to an old quarry with beautiful views. Medium difficulty takes about ~90 minutes to go to the quarry and back. Continuing to the summit takes longer and gets much more difficult.

Mountain Top Arboretum

Stunning two tier waterfall, one of the highest in NY. Observation deck is an easy 5 min walk from the main lot. There are also hiking trails/stairs leading to the base.

Amazing sandwich shop & general store in Palenville (right down the mountain ~15 min from Deer Mountain Inn)

Cute breakfast/lunch spot in Hunter. Owned & operated by Scribner's Lodge.
