FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

You may bring a date if your invite specifies that you have a plus one. Just let us know they're coming!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids, but this is an adults-only affair. We hope our guests will take this opportunity to take the night off and relax with us!

Question

Are you requiring that guests be vaccinated against Covid-19?

Answer

We ask that all of our guests be up-to-date on their Covid-19 vaccinations, including any recommended boosters. We will not be asking for proof of vaccination at the wedding, but please be advised that all restaurants and bars in New Orleans require proof of vaccination or a negative antigen test within 72 hours.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal or cocktail attire please! The ceremony will be outdoor (weather permitting), and temperatures in April generally range between 60 and 80 degrees. We will be walking/dancing on pavement for the second line parade, so please choose your footware accordingly.

Question

What's a second line parade?

Answer

The second line parade is a New Orleans celebration tradition. In short, we're gonna dance through the streets of the French Quarter accompanied by a live brass band. A perfect way to kick off the party!

Question

Is this a dry wedding?

Answer

Nope! But there will be plenty of non-alcoholic beverage options.

Question

What about gifts?

Answer

We decided not to register for gifts for two reasons: 1. We are not in need of any household items right now. 2. We know that people will be spending money on travel just to attend our wedding, and that is the greatest gift we could ask for. That said, if you're feeling extra generous, monetary donations to our first house fund are appreciated but not expected. Such donations can be made through the "Registry" page, or you can enclose cash or a check inside a greeting card, old-school style.

Question

Is it safe to explore the neighborhood?

Answer

Some areas are safer than others. If you're going to go exploring on foot in the French Quarter, we recommend that you stay between Bourbon Street and the river, and it's best not to walk alone after dark.
