We’re Getting Married!!!

Our love story started in Corydon when we were just 14. I'd just moved back to town, and while we had mutual friends, we didn't connect until art class the next year. We became instant best friends, with a connection that would soon turn into something you’d never expect. For a year, we were the closest friends, each secretly crushing on the other without knowing. Everything changed during a random day with a substitute teacher. As I was tossing a paper towel, Ben surprised me with an unexpected kiss. We were both stunned and awkward, then silently went back to class like nothing happened. Weeks later, Ben went on a trip to a place I had never been and came back with a jar of sand and shells, with a sweet note asking, "Will you be my girlfriend?" Classic Ben – always the romantic one. Every morning in high school, he'd wait for me by the cafeteria, no matter how late my bus was (it was always so late) Without fail, he was there, waiting and watching me as I arrived. We weren't perfect. We were teenagers who let each other go for a while. But my grandma's wisdom rang true: "If something is meant to be, it will come back, and it will come back better." And wow, was she right. She was so right. We found our way back to each other and have been figuring life out together ever since. Our relationship is about meeting each other halfway, choosing each other every day, and loving each other through it all. And we have done just that and we will keep doing so.
