Where it all started! The first date over a 2-and-a-half pound octopi led us to where we are today. And where Ben proposed! If you can't reserve a spot at the bar, check out Freeman's in the same building for a meal.
Altesi Uptown
Where we go for Sunday family dinners, and fun fact! This is also where our parents met for the first time! With some of the best Italian dishes in the city, this family-owned restaurant has served us many meals from brunch to dinners and held milestone celebrations.
Bel Ami Cafe
Also located at 30 East 68th Street, Bel Ami is an uptown favorite coffee spot that has delicious croissants and easy to-go sandwiches and salads. Our go-to spot to pick up a beverage before a walk in Central Park or an easy lunch.
Left Bank
Our go-to cozy dinner spot if we are both too tired to cook on a weeknight. Enjoy warm French bistro food in one of their booths.

Wake up on a Sunday and want some good greasy diner food? Come to this go-to.
Ear Inn
When in doubt downtown, we will turn to each other and say, "do you want to just go to Ear Inn?" New York's oldest bar since 1817 and haunted by sailors. Get their hot & spicy garlic shrimp while saying hello to their ghost Mickey.
One White Street
A favorite date-night spot in Tribeca. A fun spot with great food that still feels like being at home.
Seamore's Upper East Side
When we want an easy dinner that also feels healthy, we go to Seamores and order one of their salads (can't go wrong with their kale and avocado salad with grilled chicken!).
Donohue's Steak House
An oldie and a goodie, we will come here after an uptown party if we just want to grab a couple of burgers with a club soda for Adèle and gin martini for Ben.
Brasserie Fouquet's New York
A spot with uptown interiors with a downtown vibe.
Henry's End
Where Adèle took Ben when showing him her childhood neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights for the first time. This family-staple holds countless celebrations and memories of good times over great food. Don't miss their excellent wild game menu and be sure to say hello to the owner Mark!
Clark's Restaurant
A favorite for both Adèle and Ben before they even met! Adèle grew up going to Clark's as the go-to spot with family and friends throughout her childhood and Ben discovered the place soon after moving to New York City along his running route across the Brooklyn Bridge. Today, Adèle and Ben love returning to make memories together and enjoy the best diner food in the city owned by a wonderful family that always make it feel like home.
