A story ten years in the making...

Alanna and Ben's love story started, unassumingly, in the Winter of 2009 after meeting at a gathering of some mutual friends while attending Springfield High School. That night, after proving himself to be 'the gentleman that he is' and escorting Alanna home, Ben took the opportunity the next day, while walking her to her car after school, to ask her out on their first date. Months of getting to know each other followed. Standing by each other through all of High School's twists and turns, they attended one another's Proms in 2010 and 2011, and Ben proved himself, again, to be the gentleman, and was Alanna’s escort for the Apple Blossom Cotillion. In the Winter of 2011, on their second anniversary, Ben presented Alanna with a Promise ring, as a sign of his commitment to their partnership and their intention to build a future together. After moving in together in the Summer of 2013, they began settling into life, building careers, spending time with friends, having fun, being young and being happy. Fast forward to the Summer of 2018, when Alanna was given the shock of her young life as Ben took the opportunity to surprise her and proposed while on vacation in the North Carolina Outer Banks. Presenting her with a redesigned promise ring/engagement ring combination, Alanna accepted and the happy couple is excited to venture forth into this exciting new time together as husband and wife.
