It all began in 2013 in the leader room at Peak Adventure Travel. Carolyn first noticed Ben, talking about his most recent Winter in Southeast Asia. As a new guide, she thought his zest for adventure was especially cool and she was hopeful to be his friend. Ben has no recollection of their first meeting. Fast forward through a few years of guiding, random parties, and road trips, they became and stayed friends, bumping into each other along the way. Then came Covid. While most of the world was on pause, they found themselves still working in travel, keeping each other up to date with shop talk over frequent phone chats. When Ben hired Carolyn to work as an account manager and she moved to the Bay, it became clear—they weren’t just a good team at work, they were an all star team in life. Together, they’ve built a beautiful little world with their two beloved cats, Regina George and Reno, and a future full of love and adventure.
