Our story began with playing collegiate soccer at Lake Tahoe Community College. Ben moved to South Lake Tahoe from Sheffield, England in 2019 and Annika moved to South Lake in 2020 from Carson City, NV. We met through the men's and women's soccer teams and started dating in 2021. We spent a year and a half growing our relationship together in South Lake Tahoe and made many great friends along the way who played a part in our relationship. In that time, Ben got to spend time with Annika's family and Annika got to see Ben's parents on holiday. In the fall of 2022, Ben moved to Monmouth, Oregon to continue playing soccer at the D2 level and also continue his education while Annika was in South Lake working on school and playing soccer. Annika then moved to Oregon with Ben in the new year of 2023. On February 14, 2023 Ben proposed to Annika! In our short time in Oregon, we met some more great people but Oregon was not for us. We are now back in Reno, NV continuing to grow!
