Ashlyn and Steven’s story began with a swipe on Bumble. For their first date, they went to Whitey’s Seafood and then saw Spider-Man. Somewhere between seafood and superhero’s, Ashlyn knew that night she’d found the one — and, in true Ashlyn fashion, told Steven to go ahead and delete Bumble. He thought it was a little bold… but look who was right. Since officially becoming a couple on June 22, 2023, their love has grown through every season of life — from late-night study sessions during Ashlyn’s nursing school to celebrating the purchase of their very first home together. Through it all, Steven has been a steady, kind presence, always there to help, to listen, and to make her laugh on the hard days. While Ashlyn brings a consistent sense of humor and lightness to every moment the couple are together. Ashlyn admires Steven’s gentleness, his quiet strength, and the way he brings lightness into her life even in the most stressful moments. And Steven has always been drawn to who Ashlyn is at her core — loving, driven, and deeply supportive. On Ashlyn’s 23rd birthday, surrounded by family and friends, Steven got down on one knee and asked the question she had been not-so-subtly hinting at for two years.
