Elvia & Melissa started talking on June 1st, 2023. They FaceTimed until 4 o' clock in the morning talking about family, life goals, culture, hobbies, and what they were looking for in a partner. That night, and every night after that they fell asleep on the phone together. One night Elvia mentioned that her plans for Disneyland Pride Nite fell through, so they should spend time together that weekend. Soon after, she jokingly said, "Unless you want to go to Disneyland for our first date?". They both laughed it off, and the conversation continued. The next day, Melissa nervously texted Elvia saying she thought they should go to Disneyland Pride Nite together. Both of them anxiously made plans for their first date. In mid June Elvia drove to Turlock to pick up Melissa (she was even more beautiful in person by the way). Then they were off on their first date/roadtrip. Their first date lasted 3 days, and Disneyland Pride Nite was better than they could have imagined. Being surrounded by a supportive community at the happiest place on Earth was unmatched. After their trip, Elvia knew Melissa was someone special, and they were basically inseparable. Melissa, and sometimes Jay, would visit Elvia in the Bay Area, and Elvia would also make trips to Turlock to spend time together. After yet another trip to the Bay Area, Jay asked Elvia if she could call her mom. Suddenly they were a happy, little family. The next month they moved in together, and in 2024 they got their first home, as a family of 3. Later, that June, Elvia asked Melissa to be her "Happily Ever After" with a Disneyland castle, that was made by Melissa's mom and dad, behind her. Melissa said YES! Although they had a small, legal wedding in their home last Fall, both Melissa and Elvia are very excited to be able to celebrate their love with more of their friends and family, on their one year anniversary. Together is our Happiest Place on Earth! We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
