Our First Date

Music Makes the Word Go Round

Drew and Catherine went on their first date on April 7, 2016 at the Lyric in Oxford, MS where JJ Grey and Mofro put on a great show. Since then, "Everybody moving everybody grooving Everybody letting it all get loose There in Mississippi."

The Proposal

6/15/2020

Drew and Catherine went over to a local farm after work to ride the four wheeler around, which is something that they normally do. During the ride, while Drew was driving, he went over a dried up creek bed and caused the four wheeler to jump. Drew then informs Catherine that he thought he dropped the car keys when they went over the jump. Catherine got out in the possibly snake infested area to look for the keys. While looking for the keys, Catherine grew increasingly upset because 1. She couldn't find the keys (keys gone forever), 2. Drew's cell phone was dying and she left hers at home (no chance of rescue), and 3. Drew was not helping look for the keys (leaving Catherine to potentially get bitten by snakes and causing her shoes to get muddy). After about ten minutes of this, Drew then realized that he needed to end the charade. He tells Catherine that he thinks he sees the keys and asks her to come back over by the four wheeler where he dropped down to one knee and proposed after a short speech. Catherine then said yes, after she confirmed that the keys were in fact not lost and they had a way to get home to their dog Charlie Bean. They then went and got BBQ for dinner.
