It was an ordinary school day at Treasure Coast High School back in 2017. Bebe had been called down to the dean’s office and, much to her surprise, was given 15 minutes of lunch detention for being late to school. Rushing to make it on time, she stepped into the detention room—nervous, flustered, and definitely not expecting what came next. Sitting in the far corner, alone, was her longtime crush, Jake. Their eyes met, and they exchanged a shy smile. Bebe quickly looked down, trying to find a seat and hide the butterflies. Then came the moment that changed everything. Jake leaned over and asked, “Hey Bebe, right? Can I get your Snapchat?” And just like that, a love story began.
