At college it was love at first sight for Josh - for Maddie it took a bit longer. During their second semester of college together Josh asked Maddie out with a "You can shoot me down if you want, but I was wondering if you would want to grab dinner sometime?" Maddie answered with an unsure "Sure," and they spent the week excitedly and nervously anticipating their date. During their date, things felt so comfortable for both, and they greatly enjoyed talking to and getting to know each other better. Maddie wanted to clarify exactly what they were on that first date with no situationship awkwardness, and so they agreed to be official after Josh talked to her dad. One week later, Josh joined Maddie's family for Thanksgiving and they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend! Though Josh knew right away where this was going, it took Maddie a few months to be sure. When she was sure though, she was all in! They got engaged October 18th, 2026 on a trail in Michigan <3 Now they cannot wait to celebrate their wedding with friends and family in June and start their marriage together!
