Aka "Bellus," to pretty much everyone. Most people get confused when Sara calls him "Matt." Matt was born and raised in Minnesota and ventured off to college where he got his PhD in physics at KU...Rock Chalk Jayhawk! After spending some time in Minnesota, he took a job in Iowa City where one thing lead to another and now you're invited to this wedding! Matt is the kindest, most selfless soul you could ever meet, with a huge love for craft beer...and Sara too. Just wait until you meet Drunk Matt on the dance floor!

Are we supposed to put our old Tinder profiles here?? Probably not. Sara will be the one in white. She's also really loud, you can't miss her! Sara was born and raised in Iowa. She is now a nurse at the U of I, although she dreams of having a petting zoo...mostly so she can pet all the animals herself*. Sara is the most thoughtful and compassionate human and also loves craft beer, which was one of the first things she found in common with Matt. *Please leave your pets at home so that Matt has her undivided attention.
Brian Barnes

Like many of those standing on the groom's side, Brian and Matt met through bowling, where each served as the anchor for their respective rival high school teams. As the rivalry faded, these two developed a closer friendship, pretty much always meeting up when Matt is in town. They enjoy going to breweries or more recently hitting the links when they get the chance. Brian has a huge heart and can remember any birthday, even if he's only heard it once. Brian and his wife, Anne, live in Maple Grove, MN with their fur children, Harbor, Oakley, and Noble.
Alex Bellus

As the brother of the groom, Alex has known Matt for all 31 years of his life. He has served as a great role model for Matt throughout the years, and has help Matt develop into who he is today. Alex is also a great example of how to follow one's passion. He has combined his love for all things cars and an incredible talent with a camera to create his successful career as an automotive photographer. With his own photography business, he has had several works featured in various magazines. He and his wife, Molly, live in Minneapolis where they enjoy time with their fur children and occasional foster puppies.

Sarah and Sara have been friends since the 4th grade when Sara moved to Riverside. She used to be the one called 'Sarah B.' Funny how things change! They've spent many nights bonding over cheese, wine, and talking about everything under the sun. She is witty, compassionate, creative, and always willing to listen. Sarah is a science teacher and a complete genius with awesome and incredibly well-rounded views on how this crazy world spins around. She lives in Riverside, IA with her husband, Dan, and their fur children.
Justin Fatze
Groomsman
Justin and Matt met through bowling, competing against each other in various leagues and tournaments. They have stayed close in recent years enjoying outings to breweries and other places around the Twin Cities when Matt is in town. Justin has also visited Matt both in Kansas and Iowa, taking in a Hawkeye football game during the most recent trip. Justin has an always welcomed chill vibe and go with the flow attitude. He lives in the Minneapolis area, where he currently works in the banking industry. He also has a passion for fitness, with certifications in personal training.
Jake Feurer
Groomsman
These two met on the KU bowling team Matt's freshman year of college and quickly became great friends. With Matt being away from home for several holidays throughout college, Jake's family was always willing to include him in get togethers and became like a second family to him. Although not always living near each other, the pair try to meet up when they can, having traveled to both coasts and several places in between. Jake is always supportive and quick to empower his friends. Jake lives in the Kansas City area, where he enjoys golf and his career in engineering.
Joey Golob

Joey and Matt met through bowling, competing in various leagues and tournaments together. Joey has a big heart and always notices the little things that mean the most. He's always up for a good craft beer, a round of golf, or a game of cribbage. As big sports fans, Joey and Matt enjoy talking sports and attending games when the opportunity presents itself. They even took in a game at Kinnick when Matt first moved to Iowa City. When it comes to football, Joey is unfortunately a Packer's fan, but that doesn't stop these two from remaining great friends. Joey currently lives in Maple Grove, MN with a great career in IT.
Kendra Gretten

Kendra and Sara have been friends since she moved down the road in elementary school! These two are like sisters, totally opposite and still somehow the same. Kendra and Sara have supported each other in life during the best and worst of times, being on the other end of every 1 am phone call. Kendra is passionate, blunt, and beyond resilient. Kendra is a Medical Assistant in a pediatric clinic at the U of I. She and her husband, Bryce, live in Cedar Rapids with their handsome little one, Alarik, another little one on the way, and their dogs Enzo and King!
Sophie Knighton

Sophie and Sara were neighbors in college, which quickly grew into a strong friendship always full of laughs and deep talks. Sophie and Sara love going on spur of the moment road trips and to concerts! Sophie is a strong woman who has an inherent understanding of the world and a passion for everything she puts her heart toward. She lives in Marion with her husband, Shawn, and their kitties, Stella and Sawyer. Shawn and Sophie dedicate their life and souls to helping others in their careers in the social work field.
Alexa MIller

Alexa and Sara first met in elementary band...when she arrived on the bus from *gag* Ainsworth. As the schools merged and rivalries disappeared, they became friends! Alexa and Sara also lived together in college, spending way too much money on makeup and mixing too many pitchers of jungle juice. Alexa is talented at literally everything she does, witty, and always always always kind. She works as an esthetician and masseuse, living in Iowa City with her boyfriend Logan and their pup, Anchovy.
Ashley Neuzil

Ashley and Sara met when Ashley moved to Highland in middle school. Ashley gave Sara another family and place to call home growing up. These two were inseparable! Ashley and Sara cannot hang out without laughing to the point of wheezing, and are always on the lookout for concerts and margarita specials! Ashley is hysterically funny, incredibly kind, always up for a good time, and can quote every line of Wedding Crashers. She is a veterinary assistant and lives in Riverside with her husband, Justin, and their dogs, Sam, Cali, and Louis.
Taylor Owen

Taylor and Sara met in nursing school, where they had countless late nights studying, sleep-deprived laughs, looooots of moral support for each other. Taylor is so kind, selfless, and has a heart of absolute gold. She can find the humor and silver lining in any situation. She makes everyone around her feel truly loved! Taylor is a jack of all trades...nursing, working with her family on their farm, and helping everyone do everything else under the sun! She and her husband, Jordan, live in Dewitt with their adorable son, Brooks, and their dog, Royal.

Kalyn and Sara met through Kaitlin in their sophomore year of high school, when they had girls' night every week, watching every cheesy teenage angst show you can think of! Over the years, there have been plenty of talks about life, love, and of course make-up. She has the most infectious laughter, an awesome fashion sense, always willing to listen and give sound advice, and will do anything for her family and friends! She is a hair stylist and also helps her husband, Ben, at their feed store in West Liberty. Kalyn is an amazing momma to Kinsley and Eliza!
Peter Roberson

Peter and Matt met through the bowling team at KU. They have fond memories of very productive study sessions in the library... Their mutual love of a good time has created lots of great memories and helped them stay close after college. Between trips to Florida, Vegas, and the always enjoyable St. Patty's Day in Omaha, there is never a dull moment when they get together. Peter has a kind heart, open ears, and a fun-loving personality. He currently lives in the St. Louis area, where he works in finance. Peter has also garnered Sara's approval by being a STL Cardinals fan!

Kate and Sara met in elementary school. They lived together their first year in college, making plenty of knock-off Starbucks frappuccino pitchers and of course, an abundance of jungle juice! Sara and Kate spent many nights in college talking about boys and making friends with their neighbors. Kate can craft and make anything and is so creative! Kate is always kind and compassionate and has a huge heart. She is a physical therapy assistant and lives in the Quad Cities with her husband, Alex, their son, Henry, their dog, Maddon, and another little one on the way!

Kaitlin and Sara met their sophomore year of high school working at good ol' Hy-Vee. They became instantaneous friends and had many girls nights with Kalyn. Kaitlin introduced Sara to all the fun things in Iowa City, gave her another family, and taught her the importance of having a good beer. Kaitlin has a fantastic sense of humor, is always up for a good time (unless it's bed time!), and lives by a resounding moral compass. She is a teacher and lives in Iowa City with her family and fur siblings, Hawkeye, Wrigley, and Duke!
