Our story began on August 20th, 2019—the first day of our freshman year in Physical Science. Neither of us knew it yet, but that day would shape the rest of our lives. Clarissa remembers being instantly smitten the moment she saw Nick—and funny enough, Nick noticed her too. There was something about her that stood out. He didn’t say anything at first, but she definitely caught his eye. Then fate did us a favor: the seating chart placed us right next to each other. From that day on, everything started to change. We clicked right away—our goofy, quirky personalities just meshed perfectly. Talking to each other felt natural, like we’d known each other forever. Over time, our friendship started to evolve into something more. By sophomore year, we decided to try dating. It lasted all of five days—which makes us laugh now—but even after breaking up, we stayed close. We talked nearly every day, and even though Nick didn’t fully realize it at the time, Clarissa never completely let go. Junior year came with distance. Life pulled us in different directions, and we barely spoke. For a while, it felt like maybe that was it—like our story had ended. But senior year had a different plan. Somehow, we found our way back to each other again. We grew closer than ever, and when Nick asked Clarissa to prom, it felt like a full-circle moment. Still, after prom, we drifted once again as college began. We both tried to move on… or at least, we thought we had. Then one random night during our freshman year of college, Clarissa felt a sudden pull to call Nick. No real reason—just a feeling. Nick picked up. That one simple call turned into something so much more. We talked for hours, then days, then weeks. And something clicked all over again. But this time, it wasn’t just friendship, or curiosity—it felt right. It felt like coming home. All the little moments, the drifting, the reconnections—it all led us back to each other. And now, we get to start the next chapter side by side. Not just as partners, but as best friends who chose each other, time and time again!
