Peep the leaves and get in some exercise! Camel's Hump loop is a fun, challenging hike with a ~2500 foot elevation gain. There are two approaches, one shorter (but steeper) than the other, and each with rock scrambles and spectacular views. Bring some beers for congratulatory summiting! Do not attempt in sneakers.
Snack pre-wedding on the best foods that Vermont has to offer. Start early at the Waitsfield Farmer's Market for some delicious coffee, breakfast treats, and dog watching. Next hit the Cabot Cheese tasting room in Waterbury, Vermont, for endless cheese samples. Stop by Lake Champlain chocolates before taking the infamous Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory tour down the road. Don't want to do any tours or tastings? No problem! You can eat excellent food at the Mad Taco, Worthy Burger, or American Flatbread. Waitsfield is also home to the legendary Canteen Creemee, a popular ice cream spot serving fried chicken and massive speciality cones.
The best option for those who want to start the party early. Waitsfield and Stowe are home to two of the best breweries in Vermont, nay the nation--Lawson's and the Alchemist. Lawson's is in the heart of Waitsfield, never has lines, and offers beers that they do not distribute out of state (e.g., the elusive triple sunshine). But hardcore beer fans know the "best" American IPA (according to Beer Advocate) is made by the Alchemist in nearby Stowe. Get there early to avoid the crowds!
If it rains earlier in the week, kayakers can paddle the beautiful New Haven ledges and boof a 15 foot waterfall in Bristol, Vermont. Paddling is for experienced white water kayakers only. Spectating is for anyone who wants to watch Adam launch himself over a waterfall.
