After months of getting to know one another, we finally had our first date in August of 2016. Tommy had quite the plan laid out: a visit to Clark Lambros Beach, Lakenenland Sculpture Park, and Mount Marquette to star gaze. While they were star gazing, that is when Tommy was hooked on her gaze; Jenn knew right off the bat he was special, too. It wasn't long after our first date that we decided to go steady. From then on, the rest become history! Between 2016 and today, we have had our fair share of trials and tribulations - as well as celebratory moments. Throughout the years, both of us have also felt the embrace of one another's families. We count ourselves quite lucky to be sewing the seams of the Bell-Hickey family together.

Six year s(almost), four apartments, two cities, and an emergence into adulthood later, we are happy in our careers and love our family! We are living in an apartment Grand Rapids, MI with our two cats, Angus (8) and Frankie (1). We also have an aquaponic tank with Amano shrimp and snails in it, as well as over 30 plants that we also consider our children as they take up all of our time and attention. We hope to land ourselves in a house in the very near future - if the world ever goes back to "normal," that is ;) Currently, Tommy is a sales rep for the only sustainable, 100% organic cannabis company in Michigan that utilizes living soil. He is also a household painter on the side. Jenn is working at a local high school as an English teacher for 10th and 11th grade students; she also teaches a few electives: Graphic Novels, Book Club, and (newly) Debate.
