Who would’ve thought that 2 people would meet at a haunted house, and that would be the beginning of their love story. Matt and Belle met in October 2023 at a haunted house, they talked briefly then went about their night. From there, they didn’t really talk much until March 2024 when they were in the same small group at a beach spring break trip organized by Cru, a campus ministry. That was where they got to know each other and started to form the friendship. After that, they talked more but there was still nothing more there than just friendship - or so they thought. Fast forward to October of 2024 and that is when Matt and Belle realized there might be something there to explore. After a couple of weeks of talking, Matt asked Belle out on a date and she happily agreed. They went to Texas Roadhouse and then watched a Marvel movie to end the night. After that night, they talked and both agreed they wanted to continue to explore what the Lord was doing with their relationship. They were having their own separate conversations with roommates and friends but most importantly, the Lord, about if this a relationship they could see lasting. They both decided to trust God and pursue each other. After Christmas break, Matt and Belle finally made it official. A year later, Matt asked Belle to marry him.
