House Or Rental
We recommend getting a group together and staying near downtown Nantucket or in 'Sconset for ease of transportation and walking distances to restaurants, shops, bars, wedding events, etc. This can be a cost-effective, flexible way to stay on island. We recommend booking directly through Airbnb, VRBO or Weneedavacation.com.
Flight
If you plan to fly, there are direct flights to Nantucket (ACK) from Boston, New York, and Washington, D.C. If you are flying from elsewhere, you can connect through one of those airports. The main airlines that fly to Nantucket are American Airlines, Delta, United, Jet Blue and Cape Air. Be sure to book in advance as flights are limited!
Rental Car

Travel Note
Nantucket is located 26 miles from Cape Cod’s mainland port of Hyannis. For non-flyers, take a leisurely 2 hour and 15 minute voyage on traditional ferries from Hyannis to Nantucket. Or take the high-speed ferry, which gets you to Nantucket in just one hour. Both types of ferries offer a variety of sailing times and sell beverages/snacks onboard. Travel Note
The Wave or The NRTA (Nantucket Regional Transit Authority) is a public shuttle bus and a great option for getting around island without a car. Check out the bus schedules to plan ahead!
