We first met on the 28 bus in San Francisco while we were both students at San Francisco State in the spring of 2015. I was heading home from a sorority event in the Marina, wearing my letters, and Bellal was coming home from work. He asked for my number—for fraternity interviews, of course—and we exchanged contacts. I ended up spelling his name wrong for years, and he saved me as “Lexi AGD Pledge”… also for years! A few months later, we crossed paths again in Santa Cruz at his PKT fraternity formal. We’d both come with different dates, yet somehow kept finding ourselves talking to each other. The same thing happened again at the next PKT formal the following year—clearly the universe wasn’t being subtle. Then, in December of 2015, we ran into each other at another social event, and this time everything clicked. From that night on, we were inseparable. Now, 10 years later, we’re celebrating our story and getting married in beautiful La Jolla, California. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with all of you. 💛
