We have decided to “elope” to the sequoias with our parents as witnesses to our union. That ceremony will be 4/3/21. Since our lovely friends and family cannot attend, we will absolutely plan a day where we can all get together and celebrate!
Sergio and I met in high school through our mutual friends, Mia and Briana. At first Sergio did everything he could to annoy me.. he would act as if he was going to tell me something and then blow in my ear, he would show me pictures on his phone after I expressed I was not interested in seeing them, and he would move closer to me when I would move away. All the while our friends were encouraging us to get together, but neither of us were romantically interested in the other. We slowly became friends and after I moved schools sophomore year we started talking more, I developed a small crush but I was waaaay too scared to say anything. I dropped small hints here and there, but Sergio is/was oblivious. There was one time in particular when I was emboldened by my friend Celeste; Sergio was complaining to me about some girl that wasn’t giving him the time of day and he was bummed about it. So I told him “you’re fixated on chocolate chip cookies.. which are cool, but if they keep giving you heart burn why not try out an oreo or something?” THINKING I WAS BEING SLICK. He responded with “yeah but I want chocolate chip... plus, where would I find an Oreo?” THIS WAS MY BIG MOMENT, Celeste hyped me up and I went for it “well I don’t know.. I could be an oreo..” petrified of rejection I quickly added “yeah and celeste is like oatmeal raisin!” 🤦🏻♀️ Yet again, young Sergio was oblivious. With the help of friends, our interest in each other grew and we started hanging out more often. Before we knew it we were on a beach and Sergio was nervously waiting for just the right moment to ask me to be his girlfriend (a question which I already told him the answer). The rest is history(:
Yeah, it was high school freshman year when we met. Bella obviously was less than enthusiastic about me as a person and clearly didn’t think I was funny, so naturally I was interested in pestering her to the best of my ability until I won her over or burned the bridge, whichever came first. I remember liking the way she dressed, real classic, just jeans and tees. 2 of our pals were real drivers in getting us together, shout out Blu & Mua. We really didn’t develop a real friendship I’d say until she left schools, sophomore year when she got away from me I guess she missed me huh? We talked frequently and eventually developed a budding relationship, seems real romantic but I definitely remember being an idiot with not understanding signs/hints. Life was good though, we fell in love (her quite awhile after I) and now here we are getting married, living in a place together, me having dreams about babies every couple nights, and her being a real great partner +the prettiest woman I’ve ever met.
