Our Love Story

Preston and Bella met in March of 2019 through friends at Grand Canyon University. Their first date came the 2nd day they knew each other. They decided that they would go on an adventure out to Papago Park. That night while they were hiking, a lot of firsts occurred. It was the first time they hugged, the first time they held hands, and even the first time they kissed. From that moment on, they knew that they had something special. Preston asked Bella on their first official date a few days later. On that date they went to church and listened to a preaching titled "The 7 Rules to Having a Godly Relationship"... if that wasn't a sign then I don't know what is! Preston officially asked Bella to be his girlfriend on April 1st 2019. Only a few weeks later, when school let out for the summer, they began their first stretch of long distance. Preston went home to Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bella went home to Orange, California. During the long summer months, their relationship grew through countless hours of texting, phone calls, and FaceTime videos. When school started that next August, Preston and Bella were so excited that they could finally see each other and spend as much time together as they wanted! They went on countless dates and little mini adventures with each other, and even started a weekly tradition of church and coffee shops on Sundays with friends. In February of 2020 everything changed... a little something called Coronavirus altered the course of their relationship as school was shut down and they were forced to go home once again and start long distance. From that moment on until April of 2022, Preston and Bella had a long distance relationship. Bella went back to school once it reopened and Preston stayed home to continue working. They spent the next two years taking turns flying each month to see each other wherever they happened to be at the time. Even though it is extremely challenging to be apart from the person you love and only be able to see them once every month or even less, they worked hard and their relationship grew even stronger. Bella and Preston spent those two long years not only focusing on their educations, but also worked hard and focused on saving money for their futures and strengthening their relationship. This distance was a blessing in disguise because it allowed them to vacation with each other and explore the country. In addition to frequently visiting each others home towns, they traveled to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Tampa, Orlando, and Charlotte! In December of 2021 on the top of the Sandia Crest in Albuquerque, Preston got down on one knee and proposed to Bella! After that moment, they began to really see all of their hard work and dedication to their relationship finally coming to light. All of the countless hours of calling and texting were almost over. In April of 2022 Preston graduated from GCU with his Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Advertising and Bella graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Bella decided to make the move to Albuquerque in order to finally be in the same city as the person she will soon be calling her husband! In the coming months after the wedding Bella and Preston will be taking on a home and beginning to start a family! To everyone reading this... we could not be more grateful and thankful that you have been a part of our story. We love you so much and we cannot wait to share this day with you!
