Maid of Honor
Sophie is Bella’s sister and best friend. God paired us together because he knew I needed a sister who could ground me with perspective, lift me where I’m weak, hop onto motorbikes and hunt for elephants in a rainstorm, and speak Indonesian with to secretly communicate in public. We share a deep love for animals, travel that involves 15+ hour flights, and quizzing each other on movie quotes. Sof has had my back since she was born and I couldn’t imagine this day without her steady, loyal companionship by my side.
Maid of Honor
Kelly was Bella’s college roommate and truly an answer to my prayer for a kindred-spirit friend. She pushes me in every way, and I am stronger for it. Kelly insists she’s the dominant one in our friendship and it’s absolutely not true! ;) Her adventurous spirit knows no limits—she’s taken me snorkeling and rock climbing in Hawaii, eaten live jumping shrimp with me in Thailand, and has dragged me into early-morning weight lifting sessions with actual soldiers in North Carolina. Kelly is fiercely loyal, endlessly generous and I’m so honored she’ll stand next to me for such a special occasion!
Bridesmaid
Ashley grew up with Bella in Papua, Indonesia. We have many memories from life in the jungle and going through middle and high school tragedies and victories together. I have always deeply admired Ash and between our two international adult lives we still manage to see each other every year, be it in Bangkok, Bali, Papua or Florida! I’m so grateful as Ashley is traveling from the actual ends of the earth in Indo to celebrate with us!
Bridesmaid
Erin & Bella became friends 20+ years ago in Katy, Texas. Erin was a fellow MK whose friendship was so meaningful when I needed a friend during elementary and high school years in the States. Erin has been a steady and deeply caring friend over the years. I’m so grateful she is traveling all the way from her home in Saudi Arabia to stand with me!
Bridesmaid
Meagan has been a dear friend for Bella since college, and we’ve stayed closely connected for more than ten years. We bonded early over our shared internationally-rooted childhoods, long talks, and the exotic teas she’s introduced me to. She’s visited me across seasons of life—from Indonesia to Texas—and wherever we are, we always find a trail to hike, especially in her beautiful home city of Seattle. I’m so grateful to have her by my side!
Bridesmaid
Rachel grew up in Laos and married one of Bella’s Korean friends from high school in Papua. My adventures in Thailand were so fun because I met Rachel there. She was a trusty adventure buddy, even when she was pregnant. We hiked mountains, rode motorcycles, swam in waterfalls, went to markets and ate soo much Korean fried chicken. Her daughter is the first Bella Kim and their family is flying all the way from Thailand to come celebrate with us!
Best Man
Jae has known Kenneth longer than almost anyone. He’s not just a friend—he’s one of the few people Kenneth can honestly call a best friend, and that’s rare. Jae’s integrity and loyalty have always inspired Kenneth, giving him an example to look toward throughout the years. From playing Yu-Gi-Oh as kids, to endless summer days biking to each other's house to play Smash Brothers or find mischief, to college life together, to living in Los Angeles and trying to figure out "adulting" after college—they’ve walked through a lot. Jae is the kind of friend who only comes around once in a lifetime, and Kenneth is deeply thankful to have him standing with him on this day.
Groomsman
Sam became family when he married Kenneth’s sister, but Kenneth knew long before that he was a man of character. Over the years, Sam took an interest in Kenneth’s relationship with Bella, checking in, giving perspective, and being there to talk things through like an older brother. In many ways, Sam has been the older brother Kenneth never had, and because of that, Kenneth genuinely sees him as God’s gift to him. Sam is grounded, dependable, and one of the kindest men Kenneth knows—someone he admires deeply.
Groomsman
James is always down for a challenge. He and Kenneth have logged miles, taken risks, and built memories that stick—from traveling to Hawaii together and getting up with him for a 4:30 a.m. workouts, even when James dreaded it. When it was Kenneth’s birthday, after a long day, James still took time and strapped two surfboards to the car and took this beginner (me) out in the water just so they could surf together. James is someone Kenneth can be completely honest with and someone he trusts deeply, that’s why Kenneth is proud to have him stand with him.
Groomsman
Taylor has been in Kenneth’s corner for years—steady, hilarious, and wise. He's the guy he can count on to always have a great talk. They first met when Kenneth was looking for a church in San Diego and Taylor spotted the YWAM Bible he carried in. From that moment on, they clicked. They went on mission trips together, took vacations, and spent days at beach parties. Kenneth later had the privilege of living with Taylor and his family, where they shared good talks, hard laughs, and even a few tears (mostly from inspirational YouTube videos iykyk). Taylor has been one of the few that was in Kenneth's life when he first met Bella and has been a pivotal sounding board to making this love story come true. Taylor has been a true brother to him.
Groomsman
David is a man of character. He and Kenneth have served together, prayed together, and discipled the lost boys side by side. They’ve been weekend warriors, grinding through early-morning workout sessions together, and they’ve traveled the world on mission—roommates in places like Colombia, Egypt, the Philippines, Japan, and Turkey. Kenneth respects him deeply. They began praying for their future wives at the same time, and God answered both prayers in the same year.
Groomsman
Kenneth hasn’t known Nick long, but he knew right away—through Bella—that they’d connect. Nick is genuine, trustworthy, and someone Kenneth is grateful to have standing with him. They’ve already stacked great memories—from Thanksgiving to the Fourth of July to the Lopez family vacation. Nick plays a mean game of soccer and somehow drops 67 points in 2K like it’s nothing. Kenneth is honored to now call him his brother.
