We started out as friends for years. We met awhile back at a coffee shop where Joey was working at the time, and what started out as two acquaintances became a slow burning friendship. Eventually, we spent more time together, whether it be church, as coworkers at a summer camp, or various functions, and slowly but surely we began to deepen our friendship. Joey looked forward to me coming home from breaks during college, and I looked forward to volunteering with him. It wasn't until I graduated from college in 2023 that our friendship quickly turned into something more. After 5 years of friendship and a not-so-discreet love letter, Joey finally asked me out on May 13, 2024 to go on our first date five days later. We became an official couple on May 31, 2024. And now we're looking forward to years and years of our friendship deepening even more as we get married on May 15, 2026, exactly two years after a week of unforgettable firsts.
