We will specify RSVP deadline when we share our formal invites! However, if you know in advance you can’t attend, please let us know.
We recommend booking travel & accommodation 6-12 months in advance to avoid inflated rates. We will be celebrating during a popular holiday weekend and the island books up far in advance. If you plan on driving your car onto the island, Steamship Authority vehicle reservations open in January. Since it’s the only car ferry to the island, car reservations sell out quickly (sometimes within hours for the most desirable time slots during the season) so we recommend booking as soon as they are released. Note that if you book a vehicle reservation, each person traveling in your car will need a passenger ticket as well.
We kindly ask that all wedding events be limited to guests ages 10 and older. We understand this may require additional planning for some families, and we truly appreciate your understanding. Thank you for helping make this special weekend possible.
It is not necessary to have a car and we will provide transportation from all major towns to the wedding venue. Martha’s Vineyard has a number of easy ways to get around, including limited Uber/Lyft in towns , taxis, and the island bus. However, we highly encourage having a car if you’d like to spend some time exploring the island (it’s larger than you think!). If you’d like to rent a car, there’s an Avis in Falmouth (there are shuttles to & from the Ferry terminal) and there’s an Avis, Hertz, and Budget at the Martha’s Vineyard Airport. You can bring your car onto the island by booking a vehicle ferry ticket on the Steamship Authority ferry.
If you’re looking for walkable activities and/or nightlife, we recommend staying in Edgartown or Oak Bluffs. However, all of the Vineyard’s towns have a lot to offer! We provided some recommendations on the Travel section of our website.
