Her side of the Story: I had just added myself, very reluctantly, to match.com.... After about a week or so, I had been in conversation with a few gentlemen, when I came across Ron's photo...I thought.."wow, He's VERY good looking... Let me check him out." After checking out his bio, and learning of his love for family, (OK thats good), especially his grand kids (OK, that's awesome), ... and his love for the Lord, and his desire to serve Him (bingo! that's IT!!).. I thought "OK... I like what I'm seeing." So I sent a "like" or "heart" or what ever it was.. a few days later Ron sent me a message... he too liked my bio, (they were almost the same..lol) but the distance between us seemed to be a problem. I live in San Bernardino, Ron in Anaheim Hills.... about a hours drive away, but he asked me to meet for lunch, and I freaked out!! "WHAT?! a date?! What do I do??" I hadn't been out on a date for a LONG time.... after a few hours of pacing around my living room, talking to myself, Ron sent another message. He was so sweet and realized I was a bit unsure... he reassured me he was a "normal, down to earth guy", so I said "ok.. lets do lunch!" That was September 3rd, I think I fell in LOVE that day!! His Side of the Story I had been on Match for about a month when this gal sent me a "like". I checked her out and thought she warranted a lunch invite. Then I realized she lived 45 miles away but since I had already asked her out the gentleman in me said I should follow through. So I drove out to San Bernardino with he intentions of this date being a "one and done". After a 2 1/2 hour lunch and realizing that what was important in .life to me was also important to Belinda I decided that it was wise to continue to see her if she was interested. She was and so here we are 6 months later getting married. God has indeed granted me my heart's desire (Psalm 37:4)
