We're getting married!

We met February 2, 2024 at a game night hosted by my cousins. Sergio swears it was not love at first sight for him, but I knew it was love at first sight for him. We spent the night competing in every game, trash-talking and laughing, and somehow managed to become friends and then he sent me a message the very next morning that kicked off two years of daily texting. Sergio asked me out… twice. And I said no… twice. Yet somehow, our friendship survived, grew stronger, and became the kind of best-friendship that had everyone asking when we’d finally start dating. A few months after the second rejection, I saw a picture of him and realized: a friend does not feel like this for another friend. After telling my friends about it, and them telling me he will not ask me out for a third time, I knew it was my turn to tell him how I felt. We sat down one afternoon and talked about what dating with marriage in mind looked like for us. After that talk, we went on our first date in July and became inseparable.
