We love baseball so naturally we got engaged at a ballpark! The wrong one if you ask me but I am willing to overlook that tiny little detail. In a rare and very carefully planned out week we managed to have all the kids in town at the same time, so we had lots of activities planned and this game was towards the tail end of the plans. The game was at Dodger stadium against the Diamondbacks. I didn't want to get killed so I wore my scorekeeping shirt (6+4+3=2) and I had my Padres hat on. So, the game finally starts and I'm just sitting there manually keeping score in a scorebook while enjoying time with family and friends. I could tell something was going on but I couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was. So in the middle of the 5th inning, I am minding my own business, then out of nowhere I start hearing a lot of shouting. People are telling me to look to my left and there are phones out but I am so confused as to what is actually going on. I start yelling back like what? what am I supposed to be looking at!??!? I had no idea that there was a ribbon message displayed just for me to see. I never saw the message but the board said "Belen will you marry me? 247 Always and Forever". So then they start yelling at me to turn around. When I turned around, there he was... down on one knee! BUT I was so confused I didn't know what was happening. You can see the confusion on my face in the videos. He had to ask me about 3 times. I kept asking if he was being serious and if this was real. When I finally realized he was being serious I finally said yes! We kissed! Then it actually hit me and I started crying. What a game to go to also, the score ended up being 22-1! The Dodgers destroyed the Diamondbacks.
