Shannon and Rebekah met at Kaplan College in 2015. Their story started with a note from Rebekah that she passed via a classmate asking Shannon to add her on Facebook. Without hesitation Shannon did just that. Rebekah then sent Shannon a message saying she thought Shannon was cute, and that she liked her. From their the two continued to talk and sparks flew. Rebekah had her last day at Kaplan on July 15th 2015. On exam table paper she made a huge banner asking Shannon to be her girlfriend with the help of the entire class. Of course Shannon said yes!

Shannon and Rebekah have been happily together for 5 strong years and for their fifth anniversary, they decided to go to South Lake Tahoe as they have traditionally done years before. Rebekah decided to take Shannon to the beach to gaze at the stars after a nice evening meal. After a few minutes of viewing millions of stars, Rebekah pulled out the brightest of all, and asked Shannon to marry her. Shannon said yes once again, and the two are so excited to tie the knot in front of their family and friends!
