Where do I stay?
Answer
We recommend staying in the Bear Lake Reserve and in groups of at least 6 or more. If you are traveling alone there are hotel options around 30 minutes away from the Castle. Please see travel tab for more information.
Question
What airport do I fly into?
Answer
Asheville is the closest airport. Knoxville (2 hours) & Charlotte (3 hours) are the next closest airports. It is around 1 hour away from Bear Lake Reserve. There are no Ubers in the reserve area so we recommend booking your transportation to and from the airport in advance. We highly recommend renting a car for your stay.

What about food at the Reserve?
Answer
There is a restaurant and cafe in the Lake Club if you want to eat there. The nearest grocery store is around 45 minutes away. We recommend grocery shopping for your lodge before you enter the reserve.
Question
Transportation to the Castle
Answer
We will be providing transportation to the Castle from the Lake Club in the reserve. Transportation will be picking up guests at 3:45 pm at the Lake Club and 10:30 pm at the Castle. Please include in your RSVP if you will be using the shuttles. There is valet parking at the Venue if you are driving to the wedding. The roads are very windy, remote mountain roads with very little phone service.
