Ben and I met in the beginning of April 2020, after a couple weeks of going on a few “dates” and getting to know one another we both knew we were probably going to end up together forever- when ya know, ya know! We began officially dating in May. Our dates consisted of going for hikes, long drives, and fishing adventures since it was the beginning of C*#*d (dare I say it) and nothing was open. Months later, we sat down at a restaurant and I joked that it was our first official date. Our first time meeting was at an empty lot on Mount Eden Road that Ben had bought to build his house on eventually. We drove down the road together to the Octoraro Reservoir and hiked around the lake. When we got back to the truck, we weren’t quite ready to part ways so we ended up going to another spot to hike on the opposite side of Mount Eden road. When we got back to the truck after that hike, we still weren’t ready to end the date so we went on a little drive before returning to the lot which ended with a quick hug and a “we should do this again”. Which we did end up doing again, and again, and again and brings us here today! Being outdoors is still one of our favorite ways to spend time together. The lot is where our now home has been built. We still walk the lake, and it is where we had our engagement pictures taken. Mount Eden Road has given us many memories together and there will be many more to come!
