You all know how Tyler and Beka met - on the broken pavers in a church parking lot. Sparks flew instantly. When you meet your soulmate, they say you "just know". Neither of us believed that until 2021, when our paths crossed again and we knew we had a chance at something beautiful. From that first phone call (8 hours long!!!) to our first date freezing our asses off on a park bench, we've never wanted to leave one another's side. Beka fell in love with Tyler's storytelling, his gentleness, and his clever wit. Tyler fell in love with Beka's whimsy, laughter, and flair for the dramatic. While people change over the years, even after a decade apart, those core pieces of ourselves never left, and we fell for each other like no time had passed. We moved in together in summer 2023 and have built a beautiful happy home. We got engaged on the hottest day imaginable at a beautiful gazebo in Longwood Botanical Gardens. It was over 100 degrees, and we all had decided to wear whatever hats we could find. Ten minutes before the proposal Beka, unknowingly, decided to throw her hair under the hat and drench the collar of her romper, laughingly exclaiming to her MIL "I give up on being hot, it's gremlin mode time". Ten minutes later, she was a sobbing mess in Tyler's arms as we promised each other forever. We've survived losses, scares, and difficult times, but every terrifying time has been eased by being with one another. We've had amazing days, beautiful memories, and so much laughter, and we want to continue that until one of us kicks it or until the apocalypse, whichever comes first!
