We're getting married!

As the luck of alphabetical seating would have it, Peter was seated right in front of Madeline in freshman Biology class. She thought to herself "wow he's cute," but also wondered how an upper classman (as evidenced by his impressive facial hair) had ended up in a class for freshman. She soon discovered that a beard is not an accurate predictor of age, and the two were introduced through mutual friends. Over the next couple years, the pair bonded while navigating the waters of high school. Over a lunch hour in their junior year, Peter shared a headphone with Madeline, and they listened to "Down With the Trumpets" by Rizzle Kicks. The couple-to-be began to share more music, laughs, and time at each other's school locker. A strong friendship (and maybe a little crush) soon developed. A few school dances later, and the rest is history!

On July 20th, the couple drove up to Lake Nebagamon for a week of Beiswanger family fun. After a game of cornhole in the yard (which Madeline suspiciously won), she was focused on grabbing some ice cream from the Dairy Queen next door. Peter had other plans in mind. As the sun set over the lake, Peter dropped to one knee and asked Madeline to be his wife. Of course, she said "YES!" and couldn't wipe the smile off her face. Not to worry, the now ENGAGED couple grabbed some DQ the next day.
