We met Brenden through Young Life in our freshman year of college. Until he went on staff in the area, we didn't really understand just how special Brenden is for and within the Kingdom. We learned pretty quickly that he is a man full of the Spirit and who has big vision for our area in its community, ministry, and the overall real-life impact on the stories of kids and families in Boulder County. Brenden's life and love of Jesus challenges us to live our lives more sold out for the Gospel and more in tune with what the Lord is calling us into. We wanted the best story teller we know to help us tell how our story and the covenant of marriage reflects the Gospel!

We are so grateful for the impact of the presence of this human. If you know Michelle you know that she has a deep and wide impact on the lives she lives beside and we have learned so much from her. We have learned how to be better followers of the Spirit, people of generosity, and how to draw near to the people around us, especially with our middle and high school friends. She has seen, known, and loved the worst of us and the best of us, and she believes in who the Lord is creating us to be. We would follow her anywhere and we couldn't imagine anyone else standing by us to usher us into the presence of God on our wedding day! We are so thankful for the impact on Michelle

I knew pretty quickly that Syd and I would not only enjoy each other over the holidays, birthday celebrations, and brunches as I dated her brother, but that we would be good, close friends. We met for burgers in Golden the first time we hung out on our own and ended up talking for so long that we got kicked out of the restaurant and ran her car until the gas light came on. I knew back then that I was getting someone really special in my life by dating Josh. Sydney is generous with her attention, money, and time, and she has always been there for all the things with Josh and I. She is fun and alive and she desires to know and follow the Lord, and she has stretched me to trust the Lord more and more in the transitions in my life. I am so grateful that she won't just be a friend, but my sister!

Peyton and I's paths crossed every once in a while during my first few years of college. One bright, warm summer morning we ran into each other at East Simpson while we were on our way to other places. We exchanged hellos, suggested we get coffee because Peyton had just moved back from college, and we did...every week after that! Peyton is one of my best friends, one of the only people that I would show up for at 7am, and has heard more about Josh and I than maybe anyone else. Every time I think about how sweet her friendship is I get pretty teary, because I know how deeply she cares about me and I am grateful to be the recipient of her love. She's also the one who drove all the way to Winter Park to take pictures for our engagement, because that's who she is! I'm so excited to have her stand with me on my special day.

Hannah, "HG," and I became friends during Spring Break 2023 in Newport Beach, California. We had spent the week wandering around the depths of our stories alongside our friends and mentors. I found it special how she reminded me of myself, my family, and my own childhood. On our car ride home, both sleep deprived and sick of driving, we playfully (and aggressively) bantered with each other. Although silly, it proved to me that she wanted to be my friend and that I needed a friend like her. Since then, HG has been one of my best and most loyal friends. She has moved mountains to be with me and done so much for me, and she demonstrates her love for me in the ways that she wants to be with me and experience life with me. We're even becoming climbing partners and trail mates, which is a big transition for a Texas girl!

Bridget and I's relationship has been a beautiful picture of redemption and it was in this relationship with her that I learned how to be vulnerable again after having my heart shut off for years. She has been one of the few people that has shown me what it looks like to be met with overwhelming grace and kindness, and she believes in the overall redemption of my story. She has been a good friend to me in the highs and lows of college, ministry, dating and engagement, and I am confident that she will be there in the highs and lows of marriage. Bridget's friendship has meant so much to me as I have come alive and opened my heart up to friends again, and we have been partners in dreaming, praying, and fasting for Boulder WyldLife for three years. I am inspired to live my life more like Bridget, because of the way she follows the Lord and wants to be made more like Him. How could I do this without her?

Although Gracie and I weren't close friends, I asked her if she would want to go on a walk one day during Covid because we lived in the "wild west of Erie" and that was considered more acceptable. I thought we'd schedule for a week out, but she told me that she would be over to pick me up in 20 minutes. I filled a hydroflask full of ice, shoved some fudgsicles in it, and we walked around coot lake for about 2 hours sharing about the pieces of our lives and what the Lord is doing. Unfortunately, our walks at Coot and Wonderland quickly became mid-ish distance trips between Fort Collins and Boulder, long texts in the middle of the night, and weekly vlog/picture recaps. Still I found myself wanting to draw near to Gracie's kindness, comfort, and joy. I come alive when I am with her and I have always dreamed of the day she would stand by me on my wedding day!

For years Gracie and I lived life in close proximity together, but we didn't become friends until my junior year of college. We both knew the same people, went to the same coffee shops, has the same close friends, and even had our lives revolve around Young Life, but we never found ourselves as actual friends. One day, our mutual friend got both of us a job at a climbing gym and we finally go to know each other. Gracie gets it when ministry is hard and she always helps to ground me when I feel like I have no business doing what I am doing. She is a good, consistent friend who cares about me even when I avoid personal questions at work at 5:45 am. She believes in me and she makes me feel like I have a voice that matters. I hope we can be co-workers forever because life is just better this way, but having her as one of my best friends will always be enough.

Katelyn has been a built-in friend since the day I was born! She is one of three cousins that I have lived the closest to. This gave me someone spend the night almost every weekend, to travel with, to eat dinner with, to spend the holidays with and all the things in between. Despite both of our lifelong yearning to get out of Colorado, we somehow found ourselves in Boulder for college and remembered how fun it is when we are together! To get married without her would be to get married without the person who has loved me and known me the longest.
