Bryan and Claire’s journey began back in high school, where they first met as freshmen at Westlake. From the start, they were part of the same circle of friends, often spending weekends hanging out at Bryan’s house. Their friendship lasted throughout high school, full of memories, laughter, and a strong connection that only grew with time. During Claire’s senior year, she was Bryan’s “senior girl” for football—bringing him breakfast every Friday, decorating his room, and proudly hanging signs in the Westlake commons to cheer him on. As college took them in different directions—Claire to the University of Oklahoma and Bryan to Ole Miss—they remained close friends. They’d catch up during holidays and summer breaks, and even managed to meet up in Dallas their sophomore year during the OU-Texas weekend. It wasn’t until Claire transferred to Ole Miss her junior year that their friendship blossomed into something more. Shortly after they started dating, the world was hit by a global pandemic. It was a challenging time for many couples—but for Bryan and Claire, it was a season that brought them even closer. They spent nearly every day together—on the lake at Bryan’s dad’s house, surrounded by his big, blended family at his mom’s, or enjoying quiet time at Claire’s parents’ home. No matter where they were, they were inseparable. After finishing college in Oxford, the two made their way back to their hometown of Austin, where they’ve spent the last few years adjusting to adult life, cheering each other on, and traveling as much as they can. In December, after five years together, Bryan popped the question—and now, they’re beyond excited to say I do and begin the next chapter of their forever story.
