Mission San Juan Capistrano
The historic San Juan Capistrano Mission is the highlight of the town (& where we'll be taking our wedding photos!) It's located directly across from the Inn at the Mission hotel & is a must see while your here!
Los Rios Historic District
The Los Rios Historic District is the oldest neighborhood in the state of California. There are over forty homes there including three original adobe structures which housed mission ranch workers and the builders of the mission in the late 1700s. Grab a latte at Hidden House coffee shop and stroll the old railroad tracks!
Mission Basilica
Completed in 1986, this is the home of the local parish and where Masses take place. There are no tours available and little signage, but you are able to enter the church to appreciate both the art and architecture.
O'neill Museum
Located in the Los Rios Historic District, the O’Neill Museum was formerly the residence of Jose Garcia and was built between 1870 and 1880. The home has been painstakingly restored and decorated to allow visitors a glimpse of life in the late 19th century.
Zoomars Petting Zoo
Tend to your inner child and visit the animals at Zoomars Petting Zoo! Located just across the railroad tracks, visitors can expect to see, and feed, a variety of animals ranging from ponies to ostriches.
Five Vines Wine Bar
Need a little pre-wedding "pick me up"? Head over to the famous Five Vines for wine tasting! Some other notable bars in the area are: Swallow's Inn, PUBlic 74, Hennessey's Tavern, Habana, and McClain Cellars.
Doheny State Beach
Located 10 minutes south of SJC in Dana Point, Doheny State Beach is one of California's most popular beaches. Soak up some sun pre-ceremony or nurse your post-wedding hangover at this scenic spot!
