It's Happening!

Chris and Jenny have known each other for most of their lives. Jenny's parents owned a restaurant in Palm Springs, where Chris's family frequently dined. Chris and Jenny also both attended the Palm Springs Boys and Girls Club in their elementary/middle school years, but they officially met for the first time when they shared a biology class at Palm Springs High School in 2002. They were merely acquaintances at the time, but their lives crossed paths again years later in San Diego. Chris transferred to UCSD in 2007. Jenny was already in San Diego, having attended the University of San Diego from 2005-2009. Through social media (who remembers Instant Messenger?!?), Chris and Jenny reconnected as friends. They hung out a few times but things fizzled out. In 2011, Chris started working for a company in San Diego, were Jenny was already working. There, they reconnected as coworkers. They were eventually put on the same team together, and at one point, Chris was promoted, and managed Jenny's team. They laughed a lot, and fought A LOT, but their relationship quickly developed into a close friendship. Chris and Jenny were both each in their own long-term relationships but maintained their friendship over the years. Both their relationships eventually came to an end, and in 2019, Jenny and Chris decided to take the next step in their friendship and went on their first date, to which Chris proudly claims he "crushed." And perhaps he did. Because here we are. We are getting married!
