Question

Where is Pema Osel Ling?

Answer

Pema Osel Ling is a Buddhist retreat in the mountains of Corralitos, CA. The road to the venue is a typical mountain road, so we ask that you try to arrive and leave the destination during the day if you can, as there are no streetlights and very little service for GPS once you are on that final road.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We ask that you please leave your children at home unless it has been discussed with the bride or groom.

Question

Is smoking allowed at the venue?

Answer

There is absolutely no smoking or vaping on the grounds of Pema Osel Ling, unless you'd like to be removed by the retreat staff and pay the fine for the bride and groom. There is an area just outside the retreat that is easy to walk to that you may smoke at.

Question

How much will it cost to spend the weekend at the retreat?

Answer

If you plan on staying the two nights at the retreat with us, it is $100 per person - paid directly to the bride and/or groom (cash, Venmo, check...). This will cover everything for the weekend, including food and drink.

Question

If I stay the weekend, where will I be staying?

Answer

Pema Osel Ling has a few sleeping options. Family and bridal party will have access to the main houses, which have kitchens and gathering spaces. All other guests will be staying in cabins. The cabins have as many as 6 bunk beds per room, but we will not require guests to share their room with anyone unless they would like to. There are also camping plots if you are the outdoorsy type and would like to bring a tent. Bathrooms are shared between cabins. It's a little bit like glam-ping.

Question

Will there be food for people with dietary restrictions?

Answer

There will be meat dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan options. Please make us aware if you have any severe allergies, as the food will all be prepared on the same cooking surfaces.

Question

If I'm not staying the night, when do I arrive for the wedding?

Answer

Please see the "schedule of events" page for timing questions.
