The youngest sister, Angela claims everything in her youth happened at the age of 3. Brittany was not only an older sister for Angela but essentially her mom. That relationship only strengthened when Angela followed Brittany’s footsteps to UCF. Angela, or as Brittany and Jason’s dog Maple knows her as ‘Auntie,’ is graduating from UCF in December.
Miles Cooper
Best Man
Jason and Miles have known each other for as long as they can remember. From sleepovers to sports and everything in between, their friendship continued throughout high school, college, and beyond. Jason and Miles share an appreciation for food, football, and unique podcasts. Miles (correctly) warned Jason of potential rain the day he planned to propose to Brittany (Jason didn’t listen).
Alyssa Rojas
Maid of Honor
The middle sister of the trio, Alyssa might have a little spunk but also has the biggest heart. Although they don’t get to see each other as often because Alyssa lives in Jupiter, Brittany and Jason make sure to stop and see her on their drives to Key West. The moment Alyssa heard Jason had proposed, she began immediately working on her maid of honor speech.
JT Keane
Groomsman
Jason and JT first met on the basketball court at Douglas Gym in Bahama Village, and their friendship still thrives around basketball today. In recent years, Jason has met with JT and his wife, Morgan, in Philadelphia when the Orlando Magic play the 76ers on the road. JT and Jason might root for rival NFL teams (Hail Yeah!), but their friendship runs deep. They’ve even been mixed up for one another before.
Emily Pontiff
Bridesmaid
Emily was originally Jason’s friend at UCF but by this point, the tables have turned. Jason made it clear that when he started dating Brittany that the two better get along, and that was no challenge at all for them. From sharing a love for theme parks and sports, to road tripping to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl, Emily and Brittany have only grown closer over the years. Brittany was a bridesmaid in Emily’s wedding and Emily had no choice but to return the favor.
Christopher Wisdom
Groomsman
Jason and Chris were not only close friends in college at UCF, but they were also roommates all four years of school. Jason recalls Chris rolling in a large boombox on the first weekend of college, and from there, the dorm room shenanigans only grew (sometimes even exploded). Chris often visited Key West on spring break, and has since hosted Jason and Brittany at his house for pool parties and BBQs.
Mary Forehand
Bridesmaid
Mary and Brittany met through work at Universal but it was pretty clear early on that their relationship would develop into a strong friendship. What started out as hanging out with a larger friend group to catch movies, they soon discovered they had a lot in common. Mary and Brittany talk about everything from Dancing With the Stars to Mary’s three cats and Brittany’s cat-like dog and their shared love of Pho and reading books.
Kevin Cheng
Groomsman
Jason didn’t meet Kevin until high school but it was clear the two would become close friends quickly. From sharing laughs on team tennis trips or taking bad pictures of one another, Jason and Kevin continue to prank each other to this day. In recent years, Kevin has visited Jason and Brittany in Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights and he still tries to rip Jason off in the occasional fantasy football trade.
