Since the BEGINNING of considering marriage (which is its own story that will be told in due time), we always thought of a wedding as this "amazing chance to introduce THIS person to THAT person" and "wouldn't it be crazy to get them in a room together" and "the only thing that could possibly make that happen is if we got married so maybe we should get married someday?" And then... when we actually did get married, it was the darkest hours of a pandemic and we didn't even stand close to the few people that were in attendance. We had this first wedding at Katie's father Bryan's house in upstate New York, then split town to make the journey to Canada. And then... as we carefully worked our way across the continent, we had a wedding at Katie's mom Kris's place outside of Detroit. And then... later with Sean's family in British Columbia, on the banks of the Columbia River. So we had three weddings, and we never realized the initial vision, but we always intended to! We dreamed about this crazy week-long festival where all our people could really get to know each other. Where we could give all the great musicians a chance to really play and everyone could learn the card game BUY IT and we would essentially create a new country (any takers? Yeeesh!). So... we're doing it! There's still a lot of kinks to work out and we're giving you wonderful folks less time to get your sh** together and come on by than we would have liked, but we're doing it! And there ain't just two of us anymore, we got a Sunny Lee Cronin (and of course our trusted steeds Frankie and Gogo) now so there's even more to celebrate! It would mean everything in our world to see our beautiful friends and family come together around us, to meet each other through music, food, self-expression, sentimentality, joy, and the craziest style you wanna bring to the table. Let's party, baby!
