becoming the wingfields

We both started High School at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute beginning in 2011. Kayla spent a good part of Freshman Year crushing on Joshua from afar but she was just too shy to do anything about it. After sharing some dances at a local skating rink (yes kids party at skating rinks, there was no skating involved), Kayla and Joshua became flirty friends. This led to Joshua getting her number and from there we "talked" for a good while and it eventually led to us falling in love. On March 24th, 2013, when we were just 16 years old, Joshua officially asked Kayla to be his girlfriend. We broke up to do some soul searching in 2019 but in March of 2022 we found our way back to each other, moved in together, and got engaged on May 7th, 2023. Now, exactly 11 years from the day Kayla said yes to being Joshua's girlfriend, we will exchange vows in front of God and the people we love the most.
