We met in 2011 when I started working for A special Needs pre-school. Chris was already working there as a teachers assistant, and I was just hired as a paraprofessional for a child in another classroom. We started working in the same classroom not so long after and started becoming friends slowly since. The summer of 2012 we had exchanged numbers during a lunch break so we would keep in touch during our summer vacation. During the end of a Christmas party I was speaking to a Friend who tried to get us together earlier in the year to see if he was seeing anyone else at the time because I was starting to like him more. After that , We got closer and closer because she had spoke to him and we started spending time with each other outside my house in his car. We would just talk for hours or listen to different music, talk about where we see our selves in the future, what was our wants and needs, favorite colors , etc., the list just goes on. Those hours felt more like days that may have been simple but yet perfect. He wanted to take me on a date but I told him I wasn't ready as of yet, I was so scared of what was going to come after so I Made him a promise That as of the New Year 2013 I will go on a date with him then . I said so he can start the year off with me and he agreed and we set out 1st date to January 12 2013 at the Cheesecake factory. Our next date was on February 1 2013 where I surprised him with Tickets to see his Favorite Musician at the Time Musiq Soul Child and dinner. The next day he treated me to dinner at Brio's Tuscan Grill and we enjoyed a lovely dinner and talked about the night before . He then asked the waiter for dessert and when I came to see the plate she was bringing to the table I noticed chocolate Covered Strawberries which happen to be one of my favorites, But these were different. The Strawberries read , " Will U B MY Girl?" and I said yes and the rest is History. Almost 8 years later and he still sweeps me off my feet.

On July 4,4th 2020 , we went over to his mom and cousins house for a 4th of July BBQ with his family and mines. I Bought a pool for the kids to play in since it was going to be so hot, Chris insisted that when it was time to change caleb that he will take him upstairs to change him. We got Caleb out and he took him up stairs. My sister and his mother came back from going upstairs and my sister told me to sit next to the both of them so we can"talk about something" a few seconds later I hear Bruno Mars " Marry You" song begin to play and everyone walking in. I spot Caleb walking in with a shirt and noticed it read " Mommy, Will you Marry My Daddy?" I was in shock. Behind Caleb was Chris Sisters Maria and Camille holding a banner with our photo us two from last summer and with the wording " Megan, Will you Marry Me?" and behind the Banner was Chris, With a matching shirt that read "Megan , Will you Marry me". I accepted and I trembled in excitement the rest of the day and still do just talking about it.
