Both of us were done with online dating, but we wanted to give it one last shot and see who was out there. That's when we met and decided to plan a date. On our first date, we decided to go and do something fun, but where we could still get to know each other. So, we went pottery painting and in the process found out that we had more in common than we thought. We had such a blast that neither of us wanted the night to end! We talked and laughed for what seemed like minutes..turned into hours. As our night came to an end, it was apparent that we never wanted to be apart. That's when our adventures began.
So you know that part in Hercules where the planets align so perfectly? Everything leading up to this moment lined up the exact same way. There were no doubts in my mind about her. Disneyland is her favorite place in the world and I couldn't think of a better place to do it. I couldn't wait to spend my life with her. So, I went and bought a ring, perfect for her. I called her parents and it was a very emotional time for me. To my surprise, the second I asked for her hand in marriage, her step-dad immediately said YES! As we were talking about the excitement, I couldn't help but notice that her mom hadn't said anything. Just as the nerves started to kick in, her stepdad said "Well? Are you going to answer that boy or leave him in suspense?!" Her mom said yes and that's when I told them my plan. We were flying down to Disneyland for her birthday and I realized I couldn't keep the ring in my pocket, because she would see it going through security nor did I trust leaving it in my luggage and it possibly getting lost. So, I tucked it away in my wallet. We got to California and spent our first day in Disneyland. I originally wanted to propose during the fireworks at night. Clenching the ring in my pocket all day long. The suspense grew. It was finally time. Little did I know, it was too dark and too loud during fireworks to propose. She was getting exhausted and ready to go back to the hotel, but I asked for one more picture in front of the castle before we went back. She said yes, reluctantly. Once we got to the front of the castle, I asked someone to video the proposal. I walked over to her and took a knee. Her first reaction was " SHUT THE F******* UP, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" As the people cheered around us, she said yes... and here we are beginning our Happily Ever After.
