FAQs

The Wedding Website of Rachael Grube and Thomas Hoang
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, however we kindly ask that no guests wear any shade of white to the wedding. It is an outside ceremony, and the reception will be inside but there will be lawn games and fire pits outside as well, so dress accordingly!

Question

Are you having an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

YES!! Please do NOT take pictures or have any devices out during the ceremony - we paid good money for a photographer! You are more than welcome to take pictures after the ceremony, though! Thank you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome, however we ask that if your child starts making a fuss that you take your child out of the area as soon as possible to calm them down.

Question

Is it kid friendly?

Answer

No - kids are allowed, but we wanted to put a disclaimer that our wedding caters towards adults. There will be loud music, alcohol, cursing, and basically a giant adult party. We will not be censoring ourselves to keep it kid friendly. If you don’t want your children around this type of environment, please seek childcare. Thank you for you cooperation in helping making our wedding dreams come true!

Question

Why don’t you have a lot in your registry?

Answer

We have most of everything we need since we have been living together for the last few years. We would really appreciate some money for either our honeymoon or our savings fund!!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, lots of parking - and it’s free!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your date is not included on the RSVP and you’d like to bring a date, please message Thomas or Rachael to inquire about bringing a date. No write ins allowed!

Question

Will the ceremony & reception be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Both! The ceremony will be held outdoors, and the reception will be held indoors - however, the reception is pretty much open with lots of glass doors, and we will have plenty of lawn games. There are also two separate fire pits as well as places to chill both indoors and out!

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes - immediately following the ceremony, guests are encouraged to wander around the venue, play some lawn games, mingle, grab a drink, and find a table! We plan on a 45 minute cocktail hour in between the ceremony and reception.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know and RSVP “no” as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Do you have a hotel block?

Answer

Yes! It is at the SpringHill Suites Issaquah-Seattle. You can follow the link under the hotels page in this website, or you can follow the link here: https://www.marriott.com/event-reservations/reservation-link.mi?id=1632859585205&key=CORP&app=resvlink

Question

Will food be served?

Answer

Yes! We have a fantastic caterer, we have appetizers and a few different entree options as well that will be buffet style. There will also be a snack/fruit table (including Thomas’s moms famous egg rolls!) as well as a dessert table.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yep! We are providing an open bar with some exceptions. As we are providing the alcohol, we will only have certain kinds / brands, and once we run out of what we have bought, there won’t be anymore (I’m sure we won’t run out though!), there are also mixers available as well so be sure to order cocktails! We will also have specialty themed cocktails, one for the bride, one for the groom, and one for the marriage! *You cannot bring your own alcohol* *Alcohol must be served by the bartender*

Question

Will there be non-alcoholic drinks?

Answer

Yes! We will have two large coolers with water, sodas, and juice. We will also have lemonade, iced tea, and infused water!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Both on Zola and Amazon! We have links to both on the “Registries” tab of our website!

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! We encourage guests to take and post pictures on their social media, our only requests are that you don’t take pictures during the ceremony, and any pictures you post you use our wedding hashtag #BecomingTheHoangs so we can see too!

Question

Where is your wedding taking place?

Answer

We are getting married at The Barn at Trinity Tree Farm in Issaquah, Washington

Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

You can RSVP one of two ways - either through our wedding website or by simply texting / calling either Rachel or Thomas!

Question

Answer

As of right now, no - however, that may change due to mask mandates so please keep checking for an updated answer.

Question

Can I Uber or Lyft to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Both Uber and Lyft service The Barn at Trinity Tree Farm

Question

Venue Info

Answer

Our venue is located up a big hill inside a neighborhood, please be cautious and considerate when entering the venue space - the hill is a bit of a tight squeeze, so drive carefully

Question

When is the deadline to RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 30th. If you do not RSVP on or prior to this date, we unfortunately will not be able to have you attend - please keep this in mind and let one of us know if you plan to make it! Thank you!
