On New Year's Eve (2021), I planned a party for Devon and me, my brother Kyle and his girlfriend Ilana, and my sister Kelsy and her boyfriend Brandon. We all had a blast playing games, enjoying silly cotton candy drinks, listening to music, waiting for the ball to drop and ring in 2022! As it got closer to the ball dropping, we all got our party poppers ready and started the countdown. As soon as the hand struck midnight, the party poppers went off, and Devon got down on one knee. He asked me to marry him and of course, I said yes! Within a few minutes, my parents and grandma came to celebrate with us and congratulate us on getting engaged. It was a fantastic night and an amazing way to start 2022!
Devon and I both attended the same high school, Walter E. Stebbins, where we remained friends until our last year of college. Within weeks, Devon and I became great friends, with me developing a big crush on Devon. Eventually, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history, as they say! Since we started dating, we have been on numerous endeavors, from him moving up where he works and becoming the IT manager for Crown Packaging. I received my first teaching job with Beavercreek City Schools. We have both graduated with our Bachelor's during our relationship. I graduated in December 2020 from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. Devon graduated in August 2021 from Western Govern's University with a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance. The last two years of our lives spent together have been the best so far, and we are so excited to see where our future will be taking us.
Devon and I cannot wait to share our special day with our beloved family and friends! We are also excited to be able to make a public announcement that were are now Mr. and Mrs. Fisher in November 2022!
