Our venue is a bit off the beaten path! If you plan on drinking, we ask that you either have a designated driver, or that you plan a hotel stay in Troy after the wedding. We want everyone to be safe while celebrating with us! Your cars can be left at the venue overnight, but must be picked up by 11 am the next morning!
Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place outdoors in a beautiful wooded area. Cocktail hour will be both indoors and outdoors, and the reception will be in the venue’s original 1800s era barn.

What will your wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

We welcome our guests to begin arriving around 4:30, with the ceremony beginning at 5:30 pm. A cocktail hour is to begin immediately following and dinner be served at approximately 6:45 pm.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that you dress semi formal for our special day! Please refrain from wearing jeans, shorts, or tee shirts, please. With the ceremony taking place up a hill and in the woods, your highest heels are not recommended nor are stiletto heels. Block heels should be ok if you are comfortable in them! If it’s been rainy, the chances are pretty high that you’ll have to walk through a muddy spot at some point. Dress for the weather! The barn does not have central A/C or centralized heating, though propane heaters are available outside if it gets chilly. We will also have a fire outside of the barn as the evening progresses.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately due to venue capacity and budgetary constraints we cannot accommodate all of our lovely guests to bring a guest of their own. We therefore, ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are specifically named on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

For the cocktail hour our bar will be open for our guests to enjoy and there will be a charcuterie spread available as your hors d’oeuvres options. Our reception will feature a pasta bar spread with a salad and breadstick option. Our bar will feature a variety of beers, seltzers, wines, and 2 signature cocktails, as well as soft drinks and water for the duration of the cocktail hour and reception.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available just past the reception site. The venue owners will be there to direct you to the parking and we will have golf carts available to transport you to and from the ceremony site at your convenience.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

Due to local ordinance the music at our venue must conclude at 10:30 pm, with guests required to leave by 11:00 pm. At this time we are undecided whether there will be a late night opportunity to continue our celebration.

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

To help you find accommodations, we have reserved a block of hotel rooms for two nights from September 26th to September 28 at the Home 2 Suites in Troy Ohio. How will you communicate any updated information and/or changes before the wedding?

Answer

As we approach our special day, changes may be inevitable. Please keep a close eye on our website, as this will be a hub of all information regarding our special day. If something were to occur at the last minute, we will be sure to contact all guests as quickly as possible.
