Michael and Haley were originally scheduled to wed with all of their closest family and friends on September 12, 2020. Due to the coronavirus, they unfortunately had to cancel their wedding. Haley and Michael decided that they did not want to wait to start their lives together and got married at the Lanam Club in Andover, MA on the original date with only 20 people in attendance. However, they are still so excited to celebrate with all of their loved ones and are looking forward to having a reception on 10/2/21 to honor their marriage!

Michael and Haley both grew up in Andover, MA, only ten minutes from one another. However, it wasn’t until the end of college that they actually met. Michael was quiet at first and didn’t talk much. Thankfully, Haley was outgoing and kept the conversation flowing while Michael became more comfortable. Eventually, a few weeks after first meeting, Michael asked Haley out on a date. Michael picked Haley up at her house, which Haley thought was impressive! They went to Richardson’s Ice Cream in Middleton and played mini golf. They hit it off and went on their second date only four days later. It didn’t take much time for Haley and Michael to know that they wanted to be together. They learned that they enjoyed many of the same activities: traveling, going on local adventures, being with family and friends, cooking, sharing time together at the gym, and just hanging out at home. It was during a romantic weekend getaway to Vermont that Michael asked Haley to be his girlfriend. Four years later, the happy couple lives in Wakefield together with their kitty Oscar, and are so excited to be married!

Michael and Haley knew early on that they were meant for each other. Throughout the course of their relationship, they would often talk about marriage and what life would look like down the road. After two years of dating, Michael proposed to Haley on his birthday with a custom-made ring, similar to the one Haley had “casually” sent him a picture of several months before. Haley had no idea that Michael would propose on his birthday! It was May 2, 2019 and Michael had off from work to celebrate his birthday. Michael had planned on taking Haley to Richardson’s Ice Cream to propose, the location of their first date, but it was raining. Instead, Michael proposed after a romantic birthday dinner in Boston. When they got home from dinner, Michael went to the other room and came back with a bouquet of roses. He gave them to Haley and told her to turn them around. Haley found the ring on one of the roses and before she knew it, Michael was down on one knee and asked Haley to marry him. Haley was overjoyed and said YES!
