Ty showed up in an Abercrombie and Fitch shirt. Paige talked about a mythical shark for nearly the entire meal. And over the best fish and chips that Cincinnati has to offer, a new love story was born. Relive the magic by stopping in for a great meal and drink at Cock & Bull Public House in Glendale. Ty and Paige sat at a small table on the first floor, but on a nice day be sure to grab a table on the second floor patio. Just remember not to give your date a "Dad hug" like Ty "supposedly" gave to Paige at the end of their first date!
Witness history by visiting the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields in Fairfield--the spot where Paige said YES to a brand-new-Bradshaw-adventure. The Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields might be the spot where dreams came true for Paige and Ty, but the facility regularly makes miracles happen by providing a completely accessible, state-of-the-art complex for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities to play the game of baseball. Games will be played on the Saturday morning of the wedding at 10:00 and 11:30. Stop by and have your heart changed forever!
Paige and Ty enjoyed a round of Top Golf on the day of their engagement! Paige had no idea it was coming. Ty was a nervous wreck and was just glad he didn't let a golf club slip out of his sweaty hands. With the help of the Beatty's and the Souder's (including Mister Miles!), Ty was able to successfully distract Paige from the upcoming engagement by showing off his "golf skills." Thankfully for Ty, you don't have to be a great golfer to enjoy a few hours at Top Golf. Top Golf is a great spot if you're looking to enjoy a beautiful Fall day in the Queen City!
When in Rome, you do like the Romans. When in Cincinnati, you eat delicious noodles covered in Cincinnati chili and mounds of shredded cheddar cheese! You can't go wrong with Skyline Chili, but Blue Ash Chili has a local flavor unlike any other. Endorsed by Paige Garber, Ty Bradshaw, and Guy Fieri, you'll love everything on the menu. Tyler recommends the 6-way: noodles, chili sauce, cheese, onions, and the kicker--fried jalapeno bottle caps! Paige recommends the Dogless Popper: a cheese coney with jalapeno caps instead of a hot dog. Note: Skyline Chili is a great option too, but if you eat at Gold Star....we will withdraw your wedding invitation.
Paige used to only rarely eat ice cream. Then, she met Ty. Now, ice cream has become it's own food group in the Bradshaw home! Fortunately, Paige and Ty live right around the corner from the world's greatest ice cream shop: Graeter's! Graeter's famous French-pot ice cream technique creates a deliciously dense dessert packed with huge chunks of tasty chocolate! Paige recommends the Vienna Coffee flavor, and if you want to take it to the next level, get it as an Affogato. Tyler says to stick to the best: the Black Raspberry Chip. You can't go wrong with any flavor at Graeter's, and you'll be hooked just like the future-Bradshaw's!
Paige and Ty recently purchased their first home in Mason. There were a number of very important reasons for choosing Mason as their new home: safe neighborhood, great school district, and a less-than 8 minute drive to Two Cities Pizza Co.! Voted Cincinnati's #1 pizza for the last two years, Two Cities is literally the best of both worlds. Choose between New York Style or Chicago Style, and soak in the great atmosphere in this trendy joint in Downtown Mason. Ty and Paige recommend a New York Style pizza with a split: half Cabbie, and half Fire House. Be sure to put your name in ahead of time on Yelp, because Two Cities is always a happening spot!
For their third date, Paige and Ty walked almost every inch of Sharon Woods getting to know one another - including Ty's irrational fear of birds, which eventually forced them to take a detour due to a flock of geese blocking the path. Paige frequents the park for leisurely runs, hikes, and outdoor workouts on the parkour course. Surprisingly, Paige has only suffered two rolled ankles during her off-road runs. If you're looking to enjoy some family-fun, we recommend the paddle boats which can be rented at the Boathouse - just be aware that the steering mechanisms are sub-optimal - however, there is no extra cost if you accidentally run into the dock (speaking from experience).
When not at home playing with Penny or watching "Dateline" with Paige, Ty can be found at his alma mater and place of employment, Miami University. If you've never explored Miami, a campus that the poet Robert Frost once called "The most beautiful campus that ever there was," you owe it to yourself to make the trip. The Autumn leaves will make for a picture-perfect scene as you walk through the quads and red brick buildings. Rub the head of the turtles at the sundial for good luck, share a kiss with your loved one under the Upham Arch, and grab an order of Mac & Cheese bites at Mac & Joes! You won't regret a visit to this perfect college town!
Although the Reds won't be in town the week of our wedding, you can still go check out the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum, which gives you a tour through the history of America's first professional baseball franchise. Tours of Great American Ballpark are also available if you register online. F.C. Cincinnati comes in a close second (Paige's favorite)!
Proud season pass holders, Paige and Ty never miss an opportunity to experience an adrenaline rush on their favorite rides, Diamondback and Mystic Timbers. WinterFest and Halloween Haunt are seasonal attractions to which Ty and Paige look forward to every year. The adventure is never complete, however, without stopping to enjoy King's Island famous blue ice cream - no matter what the season!
Cincinnati has its fair share of breweries, and you can't go wrong with any of them! But you will always go right if you end up at Sonder's. Just minutes away from our new home in Mason, Sonder's craft beers are out of this world. You can't go wrong with a flight at Sonder's, and be sure to include: a Voss, a Lore, a Rally Cap, and a Frosted. Brews are constantly rotating at Sonder's, which means they will likely have changed within minutes of us posting this on our website! Thanks to groomsman TJ Souder for recommending Sonder's--and for single-handedly keeping them in business!
Paige and Ty have very different shopping patterns. Paige is a quick shopper. She can actually go to Target and only look at what she came to get. Tyler is a browser. He goes to Target, is there for at least 45 minutes, and leaves with all kinds of great finds that aren't at all what he intended to originally buy. But when, Ty and Paige want to do some serious shopping, you'll find them at the Liberty Center--which is a dangerous half mile away from their new home. At the Liberty Center, you'll find a wide variety of stores, fantastic dining options (definitely go for breakfast at Northstar Cafe), a comedy club, and a luxury movie theater.
Ty never drank coffee until he met Paige. Then, she introduced him to the sweet, caffeinated, luxurious elixir, and he's a two-cup-a-day man from now on! Ty and Paige love sharing a great cup of coffee at coffee houses all around Cincinnati, but their new close-to-home favorite is Cavu Coffee in West Chester/Mason. Take it from these addicts--take your time and order a Nicaragua pour over. Sit, sip, and soak it all in, because you won't want to leave this quaint, comfortable coffee house. And conveniently, there is a Graeter's Ice Cream within walking distance!
Paige is a breakfast fanatic, and she has an uncanny ability to find the most delicious breakfast spots throughout the city! Her greatest find is The National Exemplar in the adorable village of Mariemont. Grab a cozy seat by the fireplace, order a cup or seven of coffee, and settle in for a fantastic breakfast. Ty and Paige have the same go-to order: the Farmhouse Breakfast Hash! You'll also find a few sweet winners if you order the Belgian Waffle or Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. You'll never want to leave--so you might as well just stay for lunch, too!
Home to another one of Paige's favorite outdoor spots, Ault Park offered a serene escape for her while she lived in her Mount Lookout apartment. Perfect for a morning stroll while sipping coffee, Ault Park is meticulously landscaped with beautiful gardens and also offers breathtaking overlook views of the Queen City. Ault Park carries extra significance to Paige as her sister, Caroline, hosted her wedding reception under the pavilion! Ty and Paige highly recommend stopping by if you're in the mood for an abundance of butterflies and some great photos!
Since he was little, Ty's favorite building in the entire city has been Union Terminal. Recently renovated, one of the last-great American train stations ever built, is now the Cincinnati Museum Center. You'll find a great great children's museum there, an Omnimax theater, fantastic rotating exhibits, and an awesome natural history museum. Or, you could do what Tyler does--stand in the beautiful rotunda and take in the epic sights. This building is truly one of a kind!
Ty is a complete book nerd, and Paige knows that if he asks to go to a bookstore, she might as well block out a few hours because they're going to be there for a while. When they were dating, Paige lived in Mt. Lookout, which meant that Ty got to constantly visit his favorite bookstore, Joseph Beth's Booksellers at Rookwood Commons. If you're looking for books or lots of local Cincinnati trinkets and items, you won't find a better spot in the city. Chances are you'll find Ty in a chair with a coffee and a good book....and Paige waiting impatiently by the cash register!
Penny is always in the mood for a long walk around the lake...as long as she can take breaks and be carried by Ty. At four months old, Penny requires a lot of water breaks, treats, and parental motivation to make it around a full lap. Ty and Paige frequent VOA Park as it's within walking (and viewing) distance of their home. They are optimistic that Penny will learn to love water and someday become queen of the lake. VOA is also home to a large dog park, but Ty and Paige have grounded Penny until she receives all her vaccinations...and learns how to behave around others.
